Much anticipated RAIN

22 06 2024

This targeted downpour over southeastern Spring Creek Basin and upper-ish Disappointment Valley was by no means the only rain we got in the last couple of days. And it probably wasn’t even the most dramatic. But it sure was cool. πŸ™‚

Depending on the part of the valley, we got anywhere from half an inch to probably at least an inch of rain between Thursday afternoon and Friday evening. Every drop is so very welcome.

So glad for you at last! We actually had a pretty good rainstorm last night – I think it rained during the night too. So grateful!!

“At last” is right. Every year, I think I worry even more and for even longer (I’m not sure that’s accurate, but that’s how it *feels*!). But it also means that we are so very grateful for the rain when it does – at long last – fall upon us. I’m glad for your rain as well. πŸ™‚

This is such a great photo, TJ! Great Spring Creek Basin icons “taking a shower.” Very cool. And also very cool that we’re all getting some desperately needed moisture! Giving thanks.

Oh my gosh, this has been a HUGE, HUGE, TREMENDOUS relief! I don’t even want to look at the forecast now – though I spent much of the last two days tracking the hourly rains and radar (which actually were finally fairly accurate) – because I can’t stand to see all those sunshine icons again! Ha. Giving much thanks, indeed. πŸ™‚

Oh, I so hope so. πŸ™‚ I know there are at least a couple little additional water sources currently, so that’s a wonderful thing!
